Roller Coaster Restaurant
Sunday 31st
Today we spent a relaxing day with Olivia’s cousin, or Diana’s niece, and her partner Philip. So on a melancholic, rainy day, we made our way through the busy streets to their house. We spent the majority of the time cheering and staring intently at their tv screen, which was showing the last day of the World Equestrian Games, well at least the last day of the 3 day eventing. New Zealand hadn’t done too well the previous day in Cross-Country with only Jonelle Price and Andrew Nicholson left to compete. So with vague connections to Jonelle, I held my breath as she rode her show jumping course. She ended up coming 4th over all, and Andrew 9th. We then played games, that thankfully involved no german, while we had Bones in english playing on the t.v. in the background.
We went out for dinner to a place that Olivia insisted we visit. It was a “Roller coaster restaurant” called s’ Baggers which means hash-brown in german, and sounds a lot different in english!
When I went inside I couldn’t help but let my eyes drift over the many roller coaster rails, with traveling food and delicious smells floating through the air. We were handed two tablets and found our seat. We ordered our food and drinks on the tablets, and they were served to us via this roller coaster. The only reason the waiters were there was to take away the used plates and cups!
Even though it was quite easy to order something by accident, or multiple amounts of what you wanted, it was a wonderful restaurant.
