Germany Day 13

Thursday 31st

Today was a very busy day.
We got up early and again, went sight seeing. We met Diana's old friend Pia under the Brandenburg Gate which was absolutely incredible!

We then went and saw the Victory Column, and Diana pointed out that you can climb it......... I have never climbed so many stairs in one go. The stairs were cold stone, and twisted their was up like a snake until they reached the top, where there is an astoundingly beautiful view of Berlin.

We then later went back to Alexander Platz where we went yesterday ( with the street performers and stalls ) and met up with the family we are staying with. Olivia and I did a decent amount of shopping, and eating yummy german food :) We watched the street performers, one who was from NZ!! Later that night, when the sky was dark, music was loud, and street lights were colourful, we finally got home around midnight. We slept until 8am where we had to get up to go back to Nürnberg, and thats where I am now! ( Friday 1st August )
